Our Mission

Over 50 years of service

Knoxbrooke was born out of an initiative of Rotary Ferntree Gully and Belgrave in 1966 when it was identified that the local area required such a service for a growing local community.

It has been Knoxbrooke’s long and proud tradition of being there for people with disabilities and their families in a way that is valued.

Our Directors

Michael Briggs

Chair
Michael brings to Knoxbrooke over 20 years experience in large corporates in strategy, customer, marketing, sales and M&A roles, both in Australia and the UK. Michael also has prior not-for-profit governance experience, previously holding Board and Finance Committee positions in the aged care sector.

Mike Foreshew

Deputy Chair
Michael has over 30 years experience in organisational management and improvement, gained from diverse industries such as emergency services, not for profit, utilities, management consulting, private equity, manufacturing and agriculture.

Murray Coulthard

Board Member
Murray brings to Knoxbrooke over 50 years’ experience in financial management and law having specialised in superannuation.

Claire Halsey

Board Member
Claire is an experienced senior executive, with over 20 years professional experience including as private practice lawyer, Corporate Counsel and Company Secretary, Commercial and Operational Management and Transformation and Change. Passionate about unlocking the potential of people, Claire brings extensive experience in governance, strategy, organisational development and performance. Claire has a Bachelor of Law (Hons), Bachelor of Economics, MBA, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Katherine Boicuic

Board member
Katherine is one of Australia’s 29 Inspirational Women making waves in STEM. She has been an advocate and global keynote speaker on diversity in technology and women in tech for over a decade. Katherine has held senior and influential roles focused on global impact and world technology enablement.

Lyn Shalless

Treasurer
Lyn is the Chief Financial Officer of Trinity College, and a member of the senior management team. Ms Shalless has over 25 years senior management experience in the corporate sector for both private and ASX listed entities. These roles included responsibility for management of risk, internal audit, multinational tax, investor relations and corporate finance. Ms Shalless has also acted as probity advisor to various Victorian government departments on major infrastructure procurement projects.


Glen Round

Board member
Glen has been a risk manager within a family business and in large multinational organisations. With extensive FMCG experience, Glen has had experience and responsibility in operational and enterprise risk management, strategy development, internal audit, insurance, compliance, business continuity and crisis management for nearly 20 years. Glen also has gained extensive operational experience over the course of his career and in 2019 became a Graduate of AICD.


Joshua Goldsmith

Board member
Joshua Goldsmith is a legal and tax specialist with extensive experience advising Australia’s biggest not-for-profit entities, multinational corporates and family groups. He is currently the Head of Operational Tax (APAC) for Computershare (formerly Deloitte and KPMG Law) and has previously held a number of Board positions with not-for-profit entities. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce (Monash University) and a Master of Laws (University of Melbourne / Oxford University).

Murray brings to Knoxbrooke over 50 years’ experience in financial management and law having specialised in superannuation.

Alan Soderlund

Board member
Alan’s background is in the horticultural industry, including Production, Marketing, and Sales. Alan was a founding partner in Australia’s largest wholesale plant market, operating in three states. He was a director of the Victorian nursery association for many years.


Paul De Stefanis

Board member
Paul has extensive corporate knowledge and financial experience in the Not For Profit sector with over 15 years in the community services industry. Prior to this, Paul worked in a commercial environment in various accounting roles in the manufacturing sector, principally in the food & beverage industry.



Richard Spall

Board member
Richard has spent over 30 years’ working in the manufacturing and transport sectors, with leadership roles in National businesses. These roles were with ASX top 200 members along with family owned organisations. Richard brings Supply Chain, Operations and General Management experience.

Annie
Revell

Chief Executive Officer
Following a strongly commercial early career with Coles Supermarkets and Flight Centre, Annie brings over 20 year’ experience leading community-focused organisations to Knoxbrooke. With leadership roles with peak bodies, government and high-profile for purpose organisations, Annie has developed a passion for strengthening communities and working as a team to achieve that.

Trevor
Norman

Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining the Knoxbrooke team Trevor was the Regional Head of Combe Asia-Pacific. He has also performed financial roles at Mentholatum Australasia, and Price Waterhouse where he worked in their Corporate Services team. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Majoring in Accounting) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has also devoted the last 13 years as members of various not-for-profit Boards.

General Manager
Yarra View Bushland
Scott joined Knoxbrooke in March 2016 as General Manager of Yarra View Bushland Scott has over 20 years commercial management experience gained across various industries including Horticulture, Apparel, Printing and Construction. In his spare time Scott enjoys playing competition tennis, all water sports, gardening and spending time with his wife and four children.


Teresa McClelland

General Manager
Client Services
Teresa is an experienced and well-respected Executive with over 20 years’ experience in designing and delivering services in the Disability, Mental Health, Aged Care, Asylum Seekers (Unaccompanied Minors) and Children, Youth and Family sectors. Skilled in Designing, developing and implementing new and existing services, Negotiation, Budgeting, Business Planning, and Operations Management. A strong For Social Purpose senior professional with a Master's degree in Social Sciences from RMIT University.

Abdul
Bakhach

General Manager Outsource
Abdul joined Knoxbrooke in September 2022 with 20+ years of experience working in the Disability sector in Supported Employment and with qualifications in Business Management, Human Resources, Lean Manufacturing and Production Engineering. Abdul is passionate about providing meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities and is the President of the Eastern Ranges School, School Council and has been a member for 10+ years. Abdul enjoys keeping fit, playing cricket, walking, the beach, AFL footy and spending time with his wife, 2 boys and family.
