Knoxbrooke Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response

COVID Safe Summer from 11.59pm Wednesday 17 February 2021.    

The following is important information regarding the measures being implemented by Knoxbrooke in response to the coronavirus (Covid-19). We will continue to provide families, carers, supported employees and staff updates as to the status of all Knoxbrooke sites.

To ensure we are able to provide safe and response services Knoxbrooke has:

• A COVID Safe Plan for each site

• Staff trained and supported to understand infection control and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• PPE available at each site and for staff providing in-home support

• A COVID Taskforce that ensures up to date information on government directives is provided to, understood and acted on by staff

• Sign in registers at each site

Official advice is to follow these steps to help slow the spread of the virus and to reduce the risk of infection:

  •  Face masks must be carried at all times
  • Face masks are mandatory when inside (except in a residential home). Staff attending a residential home for work are required to wear a face mask
  • Face masks are mandatory outdoors when cannot maintain 1.5m physical distancing (unless a lawful exemption applies). It is strongly recommended to wear when visitors attend your home
  • Wash your hands with soap and water regularly and thoroughly for at least 20 seconds each time
  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow or into a clean tissue, then throw the tissue in the bin 
  • Stay 1.5 metres away from others. If you are sick, stay home 
  • If you're feeling sick or showing symptoms of coronavirus, you should get tested
  • • If you suspect you may have the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), or have any general enquiries regarding the pandemic, call the dedicated coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398
  • Wear a face mask when required by government directives

Knoxbrooke has reopened services and has a COVID Safe plan for each site. You can discuss your services with the Manager of the service you use or if new to Knoxbrooke.  

Will I be charged if Knoxbrooke suspends my support due to the Coronavirus? 

No, Knoxbrooke will not charge for support not provided.
