Looking for a SLES Program? – KNOXBROOKE CAN HELP
Knoxbrooke Achieve: The sky’s the limit!
When you have a disability, making the leap from secondary school to work can be daunting. What are the options? What’s right for me? How will I know when I’m ready for work?
Knoxbrooke’s School Leaver Employment Supports Program, Achieve, could be the answer.
Undertaken over 1 or 2 years, the program has its own special location – ‘Basecamp’ – right next to Ferntree Gully train station at 88 Station Street.
What makes this program different is the wide variety of exciting activities. The course covers everything from cooking masterclasses and budgeting, workplace safety and your rights at work, to volunteering and how to travel – including regional, interstate, and overseas.
You’ll also get to explore a range of further learning opportunities and work experience options, life skills and small business set-up, and fun social activities such as camping, sailing, art and drama. At the end of the course, you’ll be well on your way to employment in the open workforce.
