Located at our beautiful wholesale Nursery in Mt Evelyn, this unique role provides a great mix of training and administrative support within the Employment Services team.   Your day will include tasks such as:

  • Being the first point of contact for supported employees and staff on general disability support matters
  • Providing hands-on training to ensure supported employee’s work skills/goals are met and recorded
  • Liaising with the People & Culture team to assist with supported employee’s end-to-end employment life cycle and payroll processes
  • Building rapport with employee’s and their support networks to assist in the development of appropriate employment and training plans

Accounts Payable Officer

Working across both our Corporate Services office in Ringwood and our Nursery in Mt Evelyn, this role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices. You will also be responsible for reconciling supplier accounts and providing ad hoc reports and analysis.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years previous experience in a similar role

Key to your success will also be:

  • Demonstrated reconciliation skills
  • Experience in accounting software including MYOB (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office including Outlook and Intermediate Excel
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.

Your focus will be to develop and implement active selling strategies to attract new trade customers, as well as maintaining our current customer base. As the dedicated point of contact, you will be provided with the tools and support you need to engage our customers and to provide sourcing quotes for smaller landscape projects.

This role is responsible for ensuring our high-quality Nursery plants are always available for despatch – ready to be delivered on time and looking their best! To get the job done, you will be a team player with daily tasks will including: 

  • Receiving, reviewing and processing orders using Knoxbrooke systems
  • Liaising with the sales team on the progress of orders
  • Preparing and distributing daily pick lists
  • Ensuring stock is correctly tagged and labelled
  • Assisting with transportation coordination 
  • And of course, making sure our plants are epic!

Following significant growth, this newly created role in our Garden Centre will be the ‘go-to’ for providing quality horticultural advice to our customers on plant selection, planting, pest & disease identification and treatment. This key role will ensure our customers leave with a positive experience, confident the advice they’ve received with assist them with their purchase. Role responsibilities will also include:

• Drive and create sales opportunities through providing face-to-face horticultural advice to both trade and retail customers

• Manage the health of all garden centre stock (maintaining a spray plan where appropriate)

• Work with the Nursery Manager to ensure an appropriate weed management program at our York Road site

• Develop and implement appropriate watering rosters in collaboration with other team members (indoor and outdoor)

• Work closely with our merchandiser to ensure appropriate stock placement in line with seasonal weather conditions

• Use of point of sales and EFTPOS machines to process transactions
